Cyclone Corvettes, Inc. was organized in January 1978 after three local Corvette owners "found" each other and mutually concluded that such an organization was needed in the Ames area. The truth of that conclusion was borne out by initial interest and membership from 20 local members. From those humble beginnings, CCI has grown to a current membership over more than 150 Corvette enthusiasts!
Well over 50,000 people belong to the more than 500 Corvette clubs across America. Although many of these clubs have affiliated into regional and national groups, CCI remains an independent organization primarily concerned with local activities, but still reaching out to other clubs, charities and community groups.
Cyclone Corvettes, Inc. was officially chartered as a non-profit corporation by the State of Iowa on May 12, 1978.
